The Road to Life

Recently I was thrown a bit of a curve ball. Isn't it funny how that happens sometimes? You think you are headed down one path, then God takes you down another. Initially, you may question His direction. Then after some time, coupled with some pain and discomfort, you come to realize that His leading has kept you from the danger that lay ahead on that road you thought looked so inviting; the trap that had been placed there to destroy you. Some paths may seem innocent enough; perhaps even seem "right" in so many ways. BUT...God KNOWS where that path leads. And, though His way can and often does involve some bumps, twists, and turns, it is far safer than the one that leads to destruction. I am so thankful for His direction in my life, and know that trusting Him even through these obstacles will lead to greater blessing than I can even imagine. God is so good, and He proves Himself everyday!
