Thank you!
I woke up last night with a bad cold. Yuck! With that and the cold weather outside, all I want to do is curl up by the fire and hibernate all winter. We've been so busy running from this to that, getting kids to their various activities, play dates, coffee dates...so busy with life. The thought of staying in and keeping warm is very inviting these days, and I am looking forward to a day at home tomorrow with nothing to do but nurse my cold, and nurse my sweet babe. This Monday marks this sweet boy's 2 months of life, and thus 2 months of me successfully, and exclusively, breast feeding (something I thought I would never get the chance to do). And, for this, I am so thankful.
Adjusting to our new addition was a little tricky at first, but we are all getting the hang of this family of 5 thing. Having friends who meet me at Costco to help me grocery shop with 3 kids, friends who drive the big kids to activities so I don't have to rush out the door with my little bundle, friends who listen to me when I need an ear, friends who laugh with me and uplift me and hold my baby while I pee ;)...you my dears are life savers. My wonderful hubby has taken on the job of cook and house cleaner these days, and is there to tell me I'm beautiful even if I don't feel it. My big kids are slowly falling into their new rolls as big brother and sister (They are so close in age, neither really remembers life without the other, and therefore have had a bit of trouble taking on a new roll). But, they are getting the hang of things.
As Christmas approaches, I am looking forward to family traditions and new memories with our newest family member, and am so thankful for all those in my life these days; the new friends, and the "old". I love you all. So thankful for what God has done, and continues to do...
