Sunday School Morning
Christmas is almost here! This morning we stayed home from church due to a little girl's cough and some poor road conditions. But, we did our own Sunday school lesson at home! We talked about how Jesus was God's gift to the world, and how it is far greater to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). On Friday, the kids will be going shopping for eachother, so this was a great prequel to that. We also talked about how Jesus is our greatest gift, far better than any other gift we could ever receive.
Here is our baby Jesus in the manger craft...you can find it here: http://www.sundayschoolkids.com/activity-christmas/1-c-3d-manger-instru.htm
Then, we watched this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMUq3_3bedY It is a Berenstain Bears' Christmas show about how Christmas is not all about the "fus", and at the end the Christmas star apears in the sky to remind them all about the true meaning of Christmas. Then, we talked about the star that appeared in the sky the night Jesus was born, and colored another picture...
The scenery outside my window is so beautiful these days...the icicles hanging outside the window glisten in the sun and are far more beautiful than those fake icicle lights.
