Brazil Bound

Today we went to Brazil! We learned all about the rainforest...

...here is our banana tree!

On the airplane! The kids did not like my idea of staying on the couches for the entire duration of a real flight to Brazil...

Upon arriving in Brazil...

                  The kids got to do a little scavenger hunt...

...which ended beneath a "monkey's feast"

We sat under our banana tree and talked about the weather, looked at Brazil on the map, read some Brazilian folklore, and listened to some Brazilian music while we played some instruments! Then, we made rain sounds with our hands!

Then we made some masks and some pasta necklaces...

They all worked up an appetite! We had rice and beans, and tropical fruit skewers...

...and some fancy drinks!

To finish off our trip, we watched The Magic School Bus "In the Rainforest" as we ate some homemade caramel popcorn...YUM!

We had so much fun today! A big thank you to our friends for joining us! Next week, we will be getting very cold...
