What`s NEW...
Wow!!It has been sooo long since I blogged...where does the time go! In my defense, it was a very busy summer ;) We ended school early (and abruptly)that I didn`t even get a chance to blog our final days of pre school :( But, we ended early because, as you may know, we were in the middle of some crazy renos and the kids and I were shipped off to Saskatchewan for 5 weeks while the renos continued :S So, what is new with me...EVERYTHING!! Here is a list:
Look at my babies; they are getting so big! Benjamin started kindergarden this year and we are having a blast!!
My AMAZING hubby built me a new house!! Yes, on his own and with his own 2 hands he built me my beautiful house in the woods :)
Rachel is as beautiful as ever!! She is turning 4 this month...AHHHH!! We will be taking her to the Kamloops Princess Ball next Friday; she is sooo excited :)
Benjamin turned 5 in April! And he learned how to ride a 2 wheeler this summer! He also drives his own quad (which he tells everyone he meets;) He started kindergarden this fall and is already starting to read!! It is so exciting and I am so blessed to be sharing this with him :) He also started piano lessons!
We had a fun summer...had a couple of visiters, swam in some pools, went to some beaches, took some short trips, had a lot of laughs ;)
I took a manicure & pedicure course and became certified :) And I started my own little mani & pedi mobile spa...www.spa-at-home.ca
We met some AMAZING new friends, and...
...this just in...we got a new puppy!! Well...he IS a puppy, BUT he doesn`t LOOK like a puppy ;) He is a BIG beautiful, sucky coon hound and we all just adore him (pictures to come ;)
So...school has begun for another year, and unfortunately I do not think I will have the time to report every lesson as I did last year (there will be a lot more work to do this year) So, I will try to post some of our homeschool fun :) Here is some of what we have done so far this year:
Social Studies: We made our family tree, and put God at the base of our tree showing that we all came from Him (talked about how He is at the `root of it all`so to speak ;) Now, we are working on community...
Language Arts: We have been doing various phonics activities, printing, reading, and so on...
Science wasn`t my favorite in school, so we are making science fun!! :) with some experiments, crafts, exploring, books and lots of discussion...
For Health and Career Ed we are doing a study right now on Galatians 5:22-The Fruits of the Spirit! We are doing a fruit a week :)
For Fine Arts we are doing music class, as well as lots of Arts & Crafts :)
And for PE we are doing gymnastics with our homeschool group. And, of course, lots of outdoor play (while we still can ;) playdates, and some good old fashioned firewood stacking with dad ;)
I think I will nickname your puppy Massive Manny. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, that would be quite fitting ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that the family tree has God at the root. LOVE! I think I might steal some ideas from you... ;)
